VISA REQUIREMENTS

1. Letter asking for the visa (Visa Request Letter)
2. Two photographs (3.5 cm x 4.5 cm)
3. Photocopy of the main pages of the passport (pages with the bio-data information)
4. Application form
5. Copy of the flight itinerary and/or the flight ticket
6. Letter of invitation to visit Costa Rica and/or copy of the hotel reservation
7. Evidence of funds (Example: Bank statements, audited accounts, certifications of salary, taxation records)
8. Visa fee --US$20--

• Please submit a Bank Deposit Receipt indicating that the equivalent to US$20 (Twenty dollars of the United States of America) in Singapore Dollars has been deposited in favour of the Embassy of Costa Rica in Singapore. (Bank Account No. 392-301-776-1 United Overseas Bank, Singapore)
• IMPORTANT. Please indicate the name of the applicant when making the deposit.
• We do not receive cash at the Embassy.
• This is a non-refundable deposit and making it does not guarantee that the visa will be approved.

NOTES:       

1) Nationals from countries listed on “List 1” are exempted from visa to visit Costa Rica.

2) Nationals from countries listed on “List 2” who are holding a visa to enter or a Residence Permit Card (RPC) issued by the United States of America, Canada and/or the countries of the European Union, with a validity of at least three months, will be able to enter Costa Rica without requesting a Costa Rican Visa.

3) Nationals from countries listed on “List 2” who are holding a Residence Permit Card (RPC) issued by one of the countries included on “List 1” (not being the United States, Canada and/or the countries of the European Union) should bring along with the aforesaid requirements their RPC, one copy of it, and a certification issued by the office which granted the RPC stating that it is valid and that the information on it is accurate. In these cases the visa will be approved immediately. -The RPC must have a validity of at least six months-

4) If you are national of a country not listed on Lists 1 or 2, please contact us for further information.

5) If approved, the duration of the validity of the visa may vary. This will be defined directly by the Costa Rican Immigration Authorities.

6) The average visa approval procedure takes two weeks. Please check our website to confirm if your visa has been approved.
